The Rega is based on an AT, so if that gives a decent tonal balance then any AT MM should. Its a good deck and arm so I’d buy the best you can justify, e.g. I’d happily stick something like an AT150MLX or whatever is the current equivalent in there. It is certainly more than good enough to highlight the benefits of the better stylus tip profiles (micro-line, Shibata etc).

I’ve finally settled on a VM740ML, better than the 150sa.
I’ve just seen an F4 go for £ 400 on eBay UK.

Excellent stuff, I just can’t deal with arms without a finger lift!

Added a finger lift: so much more convenient. It is an eBay € 2.50 job.
You can’t really hand-cue with a unipivot but you do need to move the arm!
