tantal- capacitors

thanks you two back to the drawing board
i am trying to find out why there is a red glow from 2 led's
on a board on my cd player
see my other thread any help would stop me from a red scalp.

If you turn the cd player off the red glow will miraculously disapear!

so is there anyone with any idea why there should be red led's on a circuit board for my cd player. their has been someone suggesting led's are used to bias a current source, whatever that means:confused:

diagnostic - i.e. to check all is well. Perhaps if they don't light up, something's broken, or a power supply feed's been interrrupted, etc.
