Turns out that these were a scam after selling for £8009. Hope no one here got stung.

Always be very wary of any listing located in the Shetlands. I pity the residents there who do need to sell stuff, but it’s a common practice among scammers to stop 99.99% of people being able to say they’ll collect.

How disappointing for the winning bidder. How did you find out it was a scam, out of interest?

I did what I usually do for nice hifi in the Shetlands or other inaccessible islands. Send the seller a message saying I'm just up the road in the village of Hillside or Olnafirth and assume I can pick up. The seller messaged back to say their account had been hacked and someone had put the speaker auction up against their knowledge.
