Systemdek/ Heed Orbit 1 Help

Ewen1970

The Ocean Doesn't Want Me
Ok I have a Systemdek and a Heed Orbit, but understand I need something to marry the two up.

Do I need to remove a cap in the Dek or install a PCB??

If so where did I get the PCB or what cap do I remove?

Any suggestions?

Ewen

According to Heeds website if you buy the Orbit 2 version you simply connect the deck as it is to the a.c. outlet on the back of the power box. I would assume then that this version provides a synthesised wave at 230v, so the Systemdek would behave as if it's connected to the mains, but the box would provide two frequencies to allow speed switching without the platter removal and sound better too.

I beleive the op has the version where some soldering is required .I beleive a cap has either to be placed before the supply already inthe deck or one changed for this cap on the cicuit board , would definately be best to check with heed direct

Am still struggling with this.......

Anyone know where I can get the populated pcb board from to get this going or even how to populate the blank board I may potentially get my hands on??

I have had various communications with Heed, but not received the board they said they were going to send.......

Their UK representation seems to be having website malfunctions too.....

HELP!!!
