Impromptu work in progress pic. There are 2 turntables to incorporate, options are to put the TV on the wall (slightly higher) with the turntables on the top shelf, put on a rack to the left or get a new unit.

Sounding fab with the new speakers (thanks @stephen_cowslip), they are absolutely perfect in this room, couldn’t be happier.

I recently acquired Sonus Faber Sonetto speakers also - I got the V’s rather than the III’s having tried them both out at home ( thanks to Robert Ritchie at Montrose) - both were great in my room - which is a difficult space - very impressed with the sound build and looks !

I bet the V’s are pretty awesome. Too big for this room, I’d be seriously pushing my luck on the domestic front!

They are slightly taller but broader with bigger bass drivers - but they do give the bass a boost!
The III’s are apparently doing very well for the dealer who has only added the range to his brands in the last year or so.
I compared them to the new B&W diamond range and at half the price and much more attractive looks the Sonetto won hands down. I’d previously tried Spendor A4 A7 and D7.2 and I preferred the Sonus Faber in the room.
They replaced Shahinian Compass - which worked well in my previous house but I just couldn’t get them to sound good in the room. Using Naim NAC272 TPxps and Naim NAP 300 DR.

Yamaha NS1000 speakers, on Cliff Stone Foundation stands, being powered by two systems: Cambridge 851N streamer and Lentek integrated amplifier OR: SBT; Technics SH-X1000 DAC and Denon PMA850 integrated. Both systems are fronted by a Sony TTS8000 turntable with, currently, Denon DA401 lightweight tonearm and ADC ZLMiii MM cartridge or, generally, a Phonomac AT1010 arm with Audio Technica Art-1 MC.

Lovely set up. Yes, I can imagine Naim amps work very well with them. Used to have a 300 (non DR), great amp.

Earlier this week I moved everything around to the left side of the room to make way for some very large speakers - bigger than the Goodmans below - which should arrive on Tuesday. The system is a lot easier to get to now but I need longer speaker cables, hence the Leben on the floor:

Yamaha R-N803D. I was slightly apprehensive about an imbalance with the speakers (Sonus Faber Sonetto iii) but needn’t have worried. Plenty of power and sounds absolutely terrific.
My gut feeling is that if the speakers work for you then the rest of the system can be reasonably flexible..

You need to upload the pictures to something like https://imgbb.com
copy the BBcode something like [ i m g ] h t t p s : / / i . i b b . c o / d j f n p h Q / I M G - 7 7 4 7 . j p g [ / i m g ] and paste it here or click the image icon right next to the smilie icon and past the link h t t p s : / / i . i b b . c o / d j f n p h Q / I M G - 7 7 4 7 . j p g there.

I think you’re right. How things have moved on since the ‘speakers last’ mindset. I’ve lucked out with these, I couldn’t imagine anything working (and looking) better in the room.

A few good additions recently.
- The RCM Sensor2 Mk2 phono stage, fabulous device, the same as one being sold in the classifieds. The separate 24v power supply is on top of the Hydra conditioner.
- Main OL arm now fitted with the Expert Stylus Denon DL103 upgraded to a ruby cantilever and paratrace tip. For £800, incredible value.
- Turntable put on IsoAcoustics pucks (the cheaper and less bling pro versions).
- Stylus and tonearm guard bought as cut 10mm perspex pieces online and glued together.

Room completely rebuilt from the brick up. Walls lined with Acoustiwall, ceiling built from Soundbloc, windows have -60dB acoustic glass, furnishings do the rest, lots of mood lighting.

The wife chose the speakers. Very inoffensive. They are sitting on IsoAcoustics ISO-Puck 76, the heavy duty professional ones.

The ceiling lights are also an immersive speaker system, designed by former B&W Chief Engineer, Naim and other very clever people. They are very smart, a complete streaming system in each one, play anything and Roon Ready. Alexa controlled of course.

The stands look perfect for the Harbeths, aesthetically and mechanically. Very nice!
