I'd be interested to know what actual record collectors think of that - indeed this seems complete lunacy to me because there are probably still several hundred of these CD's around, and the CD has no historical value unlike, say, a mono White Album.

And chances are that in a few more weeks, price will go even higher.

I suspect that the original recording will be re-released in some form, and very quickly too, so the winner of this auction may end up feeling a bit sick.
