Sugden A48B integrated amplifier: Class A if any?

Hello Sugden users and fans! I recently acquired a pre-owned and much loved A48B amp. It is in remarkable visual condition for it's vintage (circa 1990-1995) and frankly, sounds wonderful in my set up and room. My question relates to class A or A/B operation. The amp looks very similar to the A28B: similar fascia and side heat sinks but with a higher output of 60 WPC @ 8 ohms. Unlike my A28B, this amp gives out no heat whatsoever. This leads me to believe it does not run at all in class A, which apparently, the A28B does, albeit for the first 7 watts or so. Could anyone give some insight into this please? Is it a question of voltage bias? Sadly I am not technical about the innards! Thanks in advance.
