Such A Shame.... High Street HiFi Specialists Gone...

As a teenager I used to adore visiting Howard Popecks 'Subjective Audio ' in Mornington Crescent , it was an Aladdins cave, ah those were the days!
Keith.

I expect there is a new shop 'Objective Audio' that has opened up, but they only sell one brand each of CD and amplifier is it.

Wouldn't surprise me if that worked as an on-line venture. No subjective reviews just the bit of kit in each category that measured best at each price bracket. I'd certainly pay attention.

same here. i used to love in kentish town and SA was a few minutes walk!

ah, the good old days, heh! :)

enjoy

Subjective Audio..all those weird American 'consultants'...I bought my first bit of serious kit there, a Krell ksa 50, second hand.It brought tears to the eyes of my Celestion sl600s. Never looked back. Never should have sold the Krell. And Camden was a nice place back in the early 80s. (''Things were better in my days, you could buy a high-end system for 3shillings and sixpence etc etc).

I bought the worst bit of equipment I ever owned from subjective audio, and got no help whatsoever from them/him sorting the issues.
