Streaming tidal via pc to dac. Limited to 48khz

Afternoon all

I'm streaming tidal to my headphones via the following setup:

Windows 10 PC >USB cable >DAC >RCA cable >headphone amp

The dac shows input at 48khz, upscaled to 192khz (can handle DSD).
I'm playing tidal via the Windows app, have premium subscription.

Any idea how I get better than 48khz resolution?

I’m not a PC person, but the fact that it’s outputting 48k not 44.1 makes me wonder if there’s some audio setting in control panel that’s applying a fixed output.

Click on Start
Type Control Panel
> Sound > Select your DAC > Properties > Advanced
Select the default format you require > Apply
Job Done
