Just finished watching the "If It Ain't Stiff" documentary on BBC2 11:30pm Sat.

Anyone else catch it? Excellent stuff.

The best bit was Pete Waterman's (former Stiff records producer) story about calling the office one day to speak to Dave Robinson, boss of Stiff records. Pete was told he was unavailable, apparently he was out on the street with a baseball bat sorting out The Damned who were trying to get paid or something.

The one thing that made me sad was thinking, could you ever imagine someone like Ian Dury ever getting a No. 1 hit in the current music market? The Blockheads really were one hell of a band.

Yes, I saw all of it. It took me back to my teen years, & loved it. The 2nd tour was a bit of a weaker line up compared to the 1st one.
This is exactly the reason I bought the Freeview recorder box. Great stuff.
Matt.
