I my case I thought it was a worthwhile improvement over a blue
Alps pot.

I do wonder how long they will last, but so far I'm happy with it.

Gigaworks is a good outfit, and Ian provides terrific service. However, I had one of their stepped attenuators cloud over on me. When left in a particular position for over an hour, the sound would get hazy. Then when changed to a new position, the same thing would happen. Once a position was hazed over, it was shot. I never understood it and replaced the attenuator with fixed 20K resistors to ground and digital volume control at the source.

Mine is the only occurrence of this that I know of and may well be more complicated than just the Gigaworks attenuator. I put it out there in case anyone else has the same problem.

At 15X the price, the Goldpoint is a wonderful stepped attenuator....

I have the gigaworks in my minimotherboard.

The sound is wonderful, smooth clear, detailed, magic.

I replaced a blue alps with the gigaworks and I think it is one of the best upgrade ever even when I do not consider the price !

Thanks guy's. Got one on order now. Almost finished NJ's motherboard now. Now need to get the case ready to take the build.
