Decided to dip my toe into the waters and have a go at improving the sound of my Squeezebox (version 3). Bought an older Bel Canto DAC (1.1). This dates from around 2001 or so, I believe. (Stereophile review of the 1.0 version here)
Anyway, can't get the thing to lock onto the signal from the Squeezebox, using either a coaxial or toslink cable. Doesn't work with my Oppo DVD player either. Not sure if the DAC is just too old to work with newer gear or if there is some setting I need to mess with on the Squeezebox and/or DVD player. Any ideas?
