Just heard Smoke Fairies for first time on Maconie and Radcliffe on radio 2, added a couple of tracks to the Pink Fish Spotify playlist - beautiful stuff
 
I am bit late to the party on this one but I have just received the first Smoke Fairies LP and it’s wonderful. On first listen it’s got elements of Jefferson Airplane, early Fairport, Pentangle and a myriad other Folk rock sounds with a slightly repetitive/trance like edge; beautiful stuff indeed. However it does sound original, not completely derivative and if that wasn’t enough it’s a lovely pressing.
 
Seen them live a couple of times (nice) but not heard a recording yet. Will check out the playlist - cheers
 
That first album is great, not heard the new one yet but they're definitely a class act. Imagine it'd be excellent live, too!
 
I'd forgotten about them since original post - thanks for the reminder I will give the new album a listen on Spotify.
