Can't believe PFM hasn't mentioned this yet, Sir Andrew passed aged 80 on Saturday.

I don't think he got the credit he deserved. Agree with this article

I really enjoyed his Elgar symphonies and the RVW 6th on Telarc, which also happens to have a superb Lark Ascending with Tasmin Little and Tallis Fantasia.

More recent Elgar Violin Concerto with Tasmin again, and the RSNO, on Chandos was excellent too.

Ironically, he also completed the much-missed Richard Hickox’s RVW cycle: excellent it was, too!

Very good musician. Made some excellent recordings and gave pleasure to many generations. RIP.
