I’m looking for a pair of shielded RCA to RCA cables to go between turntable and phono stage to cure a hum problem that I have. Length 0.5 to 1m length. Nothing too expensive.
I have a couple of grounding cables, so it would be great if I could try some next weekend.Do you want some with an integrated grounding cable?
Could bring some round next weekend if not.
I’ll be in enough trouble for having a Class D amplifier. We can have a cable bakeoff.
Hours of fun (followed by months of bitter argument).
May I ask what the turntable is please, does it have a wall wart power supply? If it does I think there is another thread on the forum where this issue has been resolved.I’m looking for a pair of shielded RCA to RCA cables to go between turntable and phono stage to cure a hum problem that I have. Thorens TD 1600. It has an external linear power supply in box and connects to the turntable via a two pin din cable. I have a cable that works but it’s 5m long and I wanted something shorter.May I ask what the turntable is please, does it have a wall wart power supply? Turntable interference (buzz/hum) issue
The old chestnut, but hoping for some suggestions! I have an Audio Technica LP5X turntable fitted with various RigB Audio Technica cartridges. I realise this turntable would not be considered "audiophile" or "high end" but I have owned some pretty decent decks in my time (Linn, Rega, Technics...pinkfishmedia.net
Nice turntable. Doesn’t look like the other OP’s issue affects you. Good luck finding a suitable cable.Thorens TD 1600. It has an external linear power supply in box and connects to the turntable via a two pin din cable. I have a cable that works but it’s 5m long and I wanted something shorter.
