Several distortions with a NAC 62

Hi,
Can anyone help, please? I have a NAC 62, serviced in 2003.

The first distortion is a muffled/fuzzy sound on aux/tuner input, but this distortion goes when I move the selector to another input and back.

After this there is a slight distotion, with the treble sounding strained, and sometimes it sounds as though there might be a faint echo of the sound.

The volume pot used to crackle until I cleaned it.
I replaced input, feedback and pwr decoupling caps because I was going to do that anyway, but it made no difference.

How can I determine which part is causing the problem, without replacing each part in turn?

Thanks,
Rob.

Its the selection slider at the back of the main board

Give it a good squirt of contact cleaner, run it through all the positions backwards and forwards a few times and the chances are it will be fine.

If not you'e got a bit of a problem cos they don't make them anymore!

try the snaic- unplug amps, clean each pin well (i use a blade/ scraping each in turn/ blow!) i suspect its summat as simple as this.

Hi Captain,
I am using it in another system with another SNAIC. I am thinking the PINs are pretty clean by now, as I have taken the insides out a few times.
Ta,
Rob.
