I came across this book from a newspaper link. I am sure that many fellow fish know of it already but for everyone else this a fascinating and very enlightening read and it's free!

He is an academic at Cambridge, who believes that research and access to research journals should be readily available to all.
Interesting stuff on all sorts of security issues from banking to cryptography and taking in passwords and nuclear bomb codes.
