Search engine not working with Safari browser .

I can't search on my iPhone or MAC , I use Ecosia but switching to other search engines is the same .
I have downloaded Firefox on my iPhone from the App Store and that works fine the problem is with Safari .
Any ideas please .

Bing is down, so all the search engines that hang off it like Ecosia and Duck Duck Go are too.

Chrome was also having difficulties this morning according to my two daughters working from home in very different locations - York and Worcestershire.
