I have just acquired a pair of these extremely well-built speakers.
They use a Kef B200/SP1014 bass/mids. & a Kef T15 tweeters.
The B200 is usually paired with the T27 tweeter, as in the Kef Chorale.
The crossovers are well built and construction is to a very high standard, both inside and out.
The veneer looks especially good.
The grilles are reminiscent of the ones on my Spendor BC1s.
Initial listening was positive, but I did notice the bass wasn’t as tight as I’d hoped for in medium
sized closed box speakers.
I fitted some bitumastic damping pads, which has tightened the bass and also improved the midrange
clarity a little.
They sound well balanced now.
The top end is open and smooth, as I expected from the T15 tweeters.
A rather nice find...
