Hello Forum Members,
Here calling out to Phil (Hifinutt) and others who are experienced with the Passive preamps.
I recently got the Schiit Saga + (Old version with a plastic remote Not the current one the metallic remote) and blown away by its performance, thanks to Phil (Hifinutt) who advised me.
I have connected this to my Bel-Canto S300 Stereo Power Amp, which is rated 300 RMS into 4 Ohms and my Totem Model 1 Signatures Speakers are Rated 120 Max RMS into 4 Ohms.
now playing this Saga+ with the Volume Pot set to 12 to 1 ‘O’ Clock position, in which the sound is at my desired level, however, I'd like to increase more
so my question is as follows :
Will it damage my speakers at this volume listening level? The problem is, it’s not playing audible enough if I go below this position on the volume pot. Even in Tube mode, (as it should be for a Passive Pre)
if I raise the volume more then 12 'o'Clock position on Saga + is it safe to my speakers,
their user manual of Saga+ says this below statement which bothers me.
3 Volume Knob. Turn it to the right to make the music louder. Stop before smoke comes out of your speakers.
Awaiting any response to clarify this by the experts out there.
Regards
