Royd Merlins or Snell K

My Arcs are leaving soon, so I need a stand in speaker until I reorientate. Should I get the Merlin or Type K?

Don't know the Merlin but the Snell K is a great little speaker, really musical. Just be careful about the condition of the drivers; they can need reconing.Worth it though.

The Merlin is a quite exceptional small speaker - an incredibly natural, balanced presentation. You can't go wrong with it. I only just preferred my old baby Chario speakers for their extra bass depth but it was a very close thing ...

As an interim Minstrels might surprise you and also a good excuse to give kans a go, also ES11s.....the Arcs will be hard to replace....

Are those woofers original? Or are the originals darker? Judging by my J/IIs, I'm guessing the latter.
