Sophie 34 the Scottish musician, record producer, singer, songwriter, and DJ died in a “sudden accident” at her residence in Athens. Her team provided this statement:
“It is with profound sadness that I have to inform you that musician and producer SOPHIE passed away this morning around 4am in Athens, where the artist had been living, following a sudden accident.

I had a friend who used to get pissed and would then go climbing. There were many stories of him appearing at windows in the middle of the night. Until the inevitable happened.

This hit me pretty hard over the weekend, as I came to her music late and so her death brought a feeling of having lost time, plus missing out on whatever she might have done next. A major loss.
