Could do with a few more of his types on this forum. I also visited La Maison de L'Audiophile in Paris in 1997 and met Jean Verdier there whilst collecting my first Platine Verdier turntable. Also got to hear their famous Western Electric speaker system. Back in those days and representing Avantgarde Acoustic, Verdier, SME 3012GTA tonearms, Ortofon SPUs and TRON electronics helped to start the same scene here in the UK...
