That's brilliant. I used to rely on mailouts from Recommended, Beggars Banquet, Bonaparte and others. I found a similar vintage Rough Trade list sandwiched between some records recently. Makes fascinating reading all these years later.
I recently bought an ECM vinyl record in Oxfam by John Surman from the early 1980's, inside was a typed sheet with the top 50 best selling ECM recordings listed from that time, available from IMS London.
I also found a Editions EG collection pamphlet from 1984 inside my vinyl compilation album "Angels in the Architecture" listing Brian Eno, Jon Hassell, Bruford etc recordings from EG then available, all on vinyl or cassette only of course.
I always enjoy looking at these sort of things, it wasn't always easy to get info on more obscure recordings back then, we often relied on our friendly, knowledgeable record shop dealer to keep us informed.
