Regulators, components, cable terminations..

Found some interesting reading on regulators, components and cable terminations from Erno Borbely's site:

(Is it this why Les's socket board includes so many Welwyn resistors? He has made more clarity by terminating the connections? But how's the lead end? So little do I know! )

Oz, I'd be very careful if I were you when reading about characteristic impedances at audio frequencies. The rules from the world of RF do not have much meaning lower down.

To quote from the power supply section of the Borbely site:

When it comes to regulated supplies in power amps, I have never been able to prove that regulating the supply for the output stage really brings a sonic improvement. However, there is a clear indication that the driver circuits should use regulated supplies.

We seem to be in agreement on this matter....
