It is a form of music that I know very little about. what puts me off is the lead voice. It seems to be normally someone speaking over a groove. I generally dont understand what is being said. the groove doesnt change much, if at all. nothing seems to happen. it doesnt go anywhere.
Maybe I need a few pointers, as im sure there is stuff out there that would appeal.
for example the "shalt not kill" clip. the backing was interesting and changed. the words were clever/funny and kept my attention. I didnt mind that it wasnt "singing" It worked.

OK, so this pretty much "raps up" (pun intended) what I don't like about Rap.
Picture of young black guy with a gun in his hand, seemingly on the lookout for the enemy, be it another gang member or the dibble. (OK at least his cap isn't on side-ways) the lyrics are about drugs/crime/police, infantile rhyming couplets, fake "scratching" all over the track.
It might even be a parody for all I know.
As I said before, yes, I'm old.
