Another sad loss. Very underrated guitar player and writer of the Allman Brothers Band.

I shall give At Fillmore East a spin tonight, one of my favourite albums of all time. RIP Dickie.

RIP Dickie and thanks for the music, author of Jessica, Ramblin Man, Southbound and others. I'll give the Fillmore East album a spin later too, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed is a beautiful track. I think it's just Chuck Leavell and Jaimoe left alive from the Allman's prime era.

I have one of his Lps 'Dickie Betts and the Great southern' but lots of his work on various Allmans bros LPs, great voice, writer and player
