Q Acoustics 2010i & 2020i

My father might be considering on either getting the 2010i or the 2020i.

What benefits does the 2020i have over the smaller brother?

I dont know but this little speaker seems to be sweeping up the awards. I recently watched an interview with the designer and he seems to know what he is doing.

I see audio items in this price range and wonder if they are giant killers.

2020i is easier to drive, has more prodigious bass output.

2010i needs an amp with plenty of power - they work ok on lower powered stuff but only really come alive on the end of something with lots in reserve.

I prefer the little ones tbh - they're more nimble, neater and just seem to have more energy. Stunning little speakers, but with the caveat that they're not just plug'n'play and need some careful setting up to really sing. Stands - I tried mine on Something Solid SL24's, heavy Target (30+kg) ones but the Q stands worked the best.

2020i are great speakers for the money but the unusual base means you need stands with a large top plate for them to sit on properly.

I believe 2020 is biwire where 2010 is singlewire(thump up)
