Pricing gone crazy

I know the world has gone to pot in a lot of ways but since when did CD cost more like for like than Vinyl.

The new 30th anny box from nirvana has been announced.

8lp box set £295

5cd box set £200

so based per item the CD cost more than the LP.

Who comes up with this rubbish/

any other good examples of this stupidity?

Do the 5 CDs contain 8 lps worth of tracks?

It's the album plus bonus tracks plus two concerts over four CDs (plus a handful of bonus live tracks).

Plus book, poster, fanzine, reproduction gig flyers etc.

I guess it's all the other stuff that bumps up the price.

Looks like a nice package for sure but I'd quite like just the live albums.

The price of a lot of releases have gone crazy recently.

I was looking at the new Chemical Brothers album that comes out this week. The vinyl was advertised at £40, which I assumed was for the 3LP 45RPM version. In fact it's £40 for the bog standard 2LP 33RPM, the 3LP is £60!
