Preamp Suggestions

If you are focus purely on sound quality and not convenience (no remote sadly) . I suggest you to try the elekit TU-8500 (easy DIY kit).
With top of the range Mundorf coupling cap and good 12AX7 PSvane tube, it's still the best preamp i've owned (miles better that any naim i've owned or avondale grad1+TPX2).
Don't expect lush and tuby sound, it's all about resolution, tranparency, drive and superb soundstage.

Unless, of course, anyone can offer tube suggestions (ECC88 (6922)) that might fulfill a description of fast, punchy, drive, detail?

A lot to ask, and hopefully the language helps to give an idea of what I’m seeking, but just as an alternative option here.

It’s a slippery slope... I would personally find something you are happy with, rather than embark on an expensive journey that might not help here.
