I have a Cambridge Audio C100 control pre amp from the 90's (UK made) if you are interested.
A rather bland austere thing but well regarded - not used in a while so I'll have to check it out first.

I've got a decent DIY built Stereo Coffee LDR preamp that owes me about £200 IIRC.

Sounds remarkably good for peanuts. I've used it with a Quad 304 & it's much more musical than budget passives IMHO.

I'll sort out some pics if you're interested.
