pre amp into valve intergrated amp

I have a really good nelson pass pre amp id like to try in my valve amp,the valve intergrated only has line in's so is there any point or would the signal be amplified twice if you know what i mean?

You need to decide which device will you use to control volume. Try setting the Pass volume to the 9 o'clock position and set the valve int the lowest volume possible then switch on the kit. Now slowly increase the vol on the valve integrated to the desired level. Reverse this procedure if you want the Pass to control the volume. Some experimentation needed but take care not to overload you speakers.
