Phonostage experience

Oh, another one I’ve heard that is excellent is the Tron Convergence and very good value for money.

The Trilogy? I wouldn’t like to comment I’m afraid, unfamiliar music, systems and rooms.

I will have a Trilogy 907 in my house later this week . I am currently listening through the MC input of a Van den Hul "The Grail" into a Pass B1 buffer pre. The sound is detailed, nicely etched and punchy.

With "the Grail" I have none of the subdued sound with treble lack that I had with the Croft Riia R + Partridge 977 SUT - actually, the same experience that I had with my previous EAR 802 onboard mm. I think I must have experienced some sort of mismatch there with my Benz Micro Gullwing SLR. "The Grail" (mm) + Partridge SUT sounded fine too, but I think I prefer the sound through the MC input.

I and the Paradise do not seem to happen, so can't comment on that phono stage.
