thanks. the people + robots of instagram hold the opposite opinion -- what a depressing place that is.

The problem with a lot of these photo sites is that they aren't conducive to projects / a collection of images around a common theme. As a result, people go for the individual 'wow' image all the time. It's like a band that releases nothing but singles. Also agree with you about the robots!

Having said all that, I think there are some very good photographers on there. It's just difficult to find them! You should stick around :)

A Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist stupa; a monument to inspire peace, designed to provide a focus for people of all races and creeds, and to help unite them in their search for world peace.

The first of its kind in the Western hemisphere, the Milton Keynes Peace Pagoda was built by the monks and nuns of the Nipponzan Myohoji, a spiritual movement. The Peace Pagoda enshrines sacred relics of Lord Buddha presented from Nepal, Sri Lanka and Berlin. The Pagoda frieze is of traditional design and tells the story of Buddha from his birth 2,500 years ago at the foot of the Himalayas to his death at Kusinagara after 50 years of teaching.
