Can anyone recommend a dealer or expert independant service person in the UK who can repair one of these Preamps

A friend here in Riyadh has one running very hot on one channel and I'm not sure he would feel very confident if I got my screwdriver out, besides I have no tools or metering kit here in saudi as yet

It's 44lbs to ship this beast to Pass in the US and would cost about £750 just for shipping. I might just get them on a plane accommpanied baggage to UK on one of my trips back but I'm not sure what HMRC would think of my importing them for repair

I'd lay good money that if you measured the circuit at a few points Nelson would be able to tell you exactly what was wrong. Has to be worth the price of a semi-decent meter to find out.

I'd also lay good money that there's a single cap or resistor out of spec setting up the oscillation that's causing the thermal runaway.
