The Leninspart useful idiot brigade out to reveal their irrelevance yet again. No doubt funded at college by the Bank of Daddy.

We should give them one-way tickets to N Korea where they can be happy ever after in a socialist paradise; and learn what real austerity is.

OTOH we could send the austerity fundamentalists to a drugs cartel or a failed state and find out what it's like to live in a true free market.

:D:D:D

What people like Jo don't seem able to grasp is that the UK, in its time, has implemented more genuine socialist ideas than ever emerged from so called socialist states such as the USSR and China. All of this was done via democracy.

The antidemocratic forces at present are also those which are pro austerity and are rebuilding the class system in this country.

Do they have food banks there too? A veritable home from home.

I have a number of friends who attended.

What a waste of time - coming more that 250 weeks before the public get's a chance to change their minds.

The majority of the country are ill informed selfish arseholes. A few throwbacks to the 1970's waving banners and saving badgers won't change that.

You miss the point as usual.

I suspect the rally will have precisely zero political effect. Still, i am sure it was a nice day out.

Historically tories don't listen to the plebs. I'm surprised they didn't have the police out smashing heads.

What does the rally really achieve though? Some nice speeches then everyone goes home for tea (or to the food bank)

It may not have achieved anything as such, but does it not indicate to the toff in chief that there will be much bigger rallies, social unrest, etc when he begins to start implementing his attacks on the non-rich?

Might make him think a little anyway, the fuc*er!

Can I add that in my opinion, Socialist Workers Party banners really do detract from an event like this - I'm all in favour of ordinary people expressing whatever they want to express, but none of the SWP members I've met were ordinary by any definition I can think of.
