Looking for some technical help regarding streaming. I have just got into this 'format' by using tidal cast to Chromecast audio which I connected via RCA into amp. The sound quality is excellent - through Rega Elex and into Russell K Red 50's.
Today I decided to connect CCA via optical into Chord Mojo then on to amp. I noticed the following sample rates,
1. Tidal - red 44
2. Tune in radio - red 44
3. Radio via BBC sounds app - orange 48.
Additionally playing tidal on phone directly into Mojo and on to amp provided green 96.
My questions then are
1. Is there any way to improve/increase sample rate using tidal via Chromecast?
2. Although very pleased with sound of CCA via Mojo into amp would I get much better results with eg Audiolab 6000N?
Hope this makes sense - I'm not too technically minded! I have though managed to set the CCA to full dynamic range.
