you can take a train from Porto (Sao Bento) to Pinhão - which is a nice journey, then get a taxi (or even walk about 30 mins) to the Croft winery at Quinta da Roêda. Even closer to the Pinhão is Quinta Do Bomfim a Symmington family estate - which also does tours and tastings.
There is also a pleasant hotel at Pinhão called Vintage House Hotel. We spent two nights their on one of our trips to Porto.
We will be back in Porto this summer......
