As an NZ resident I would be interested to know what the respective prices are of Perreaux kit overseas.

For eg, this pre-amp/dac is NZ$2,795 (about GBP1,450) through one of our big box merchants, which is about the only place you can get it here.

How much is it in the UK?

Not got any experience of the pre, but I've just received the Perreaux Audiant 80i integrated for a month long home dem. It has an onboard async USB DAC just like the pre.

Looking at online pictures, I wasn't sure about the looks, but it is very attractive in the flesh. Elegant, modern and solidly built.

OK - the DAC on this thing is much better than I was expecting!

It's currently giving the Young a run for its money and has similar sonics to my old Densen B400XS. Dark, fluid and organic. (Whereas the Young is more open and airy at the top)

I can also report that it drives the SCM20SL's without any problem which is a pleasant surprise
