Neu!

This forum was responsible for getting me into Neu! (after being a Stereolab fan for years), which then led to getting into Can, then into Faust - where the weirdness really starts. And that's only scratching the surface I know.

Here's another of those essential first tracks - Fur Immer
 
It sounds good even on the tinny built-in speakers of my 4-year old laptop.
 
I bought some of the vinyl reissues of Neu! and Neu 2 a few years ago on white vinyl described as "remastered" - anyone know if these are taken from analog sources?
 
Get the first three records, as everyone has said, but they're patchy. At their best they're fscking great though, and there's no excuse not to have the records just for the great bits. 4 is pants, if you ask me. I also like La Dusseldorf, Harmonia are pretty but not nearly as interesting.

Oh, and this Kraftwerk bootleg features Rother and Dinger, and is brilliant, sounds much more like a Neu! record than a Kraftwerk one.
