The pfm AUP is clear regarding electrical safety. Doing anything that actively compromises the safety of an electrical device, even temporarily, can not be recommended here. As such I made an edit to a post upthread.
I have no issue with people commenting on after-market fuses etc as long as they are comparing identical fuse ratings as specified by the original equipment manufacturer. Anything beyond that is tampering with kit and could well be dangerous and even negate insurance claims etc.
