post innards and you should be able to tell from the colour of the caps. That being said, one of my best sounding pre's is a 42.5 which has never been serviced.

Have a bump on me. Bought mine new in early 80s and still sounds fine now - even though it hasn't been serviced. Very sweet little pre, probably underrated tbh.
