Naim CDSII Question

I tried sliding out the inner-chassis to replace the VAM-1205 transport without any success. All the bolts are out. I understand the chassis is mounted on springs. The chassis slides out only partially - something is catching. I tried the Heimlich maneuver upside-down and right side up - same results. Does anyone have any idea how the chassis comes out? Thanks.

You have to remove the rear panel (two screws, which are hard to undo cos Naim use loc-tight on these) It has the lazer warning sticker on it. You can then slide the chassis 3/4 of the way out (front foreword, being careful) Then 'unplug' the the lid switch on the right hand side just below the CD transport. Take care that no wiring is catching on the lid hinge which protrudes quite a bit into the case. Its a bit fiddly..........

Thank you for your help. Now I have to find a VAM1205 that works with CDSII. Unfortunately the refurbished transport does not work.
