Theres great synergy with a Cds3/52 combination - particularly when using Ar Lunar cable
I ordered another Lunar between my Supercap and Hx1.2mk2 and am extremely surprised that its just as big an improvement between Pre/Pwr as it was from Cd/ Pre

Nicely put hierarchy of Naim preamp's, F.T., and you're spot on regarding the 552. I went from an old, pre pots 8, unserviced 52 to a Naim fully overhauled 552 (long story !) and it was chalk and cheese.
One caveat, though. it's overly complicated (and therefore expensive) with its rather unnecessary mapping. It wasn't a feature on the 52 (or others) and I can't understand why Naim tried to be 'clever' at its design stage. And as for the Flash..............
