misheard lyrics thread

"Electric toaster" is what I always hear when this U2 song comes on the radio. I guess most hear the official lyrics "Elctrical Storm", but I prefer mine !!

Best mondegreen has to be Chain Reaction by Diana Ross.

I'm on a journey for the inspiration
Tell Eddie Waring there ain't no salvation

Real lyric: Im on a journey for the inspiration
To anywhere and there aint no salvation

Sir Duke - Stevie Wonder

I can feel it all over - translates to "mick and phyllis are lovers"

I think it was a Go West song that I was convinced said

"vint cross my babos to love", it was... Withdraw my labour of love, you gotta fight for the right to..........

I could think of lots more...if I wasn't trying too hard.

Pt1.

The first time I heard Nine In The Afternoon by Panic! at the Disco (on the radio) I thought they were singing .....

"your ar5e is the size of the moon"

I always liked Al Green's direct approach.

"I'm so tired of being alone,
I'm so tired of pulling my own,
won't you help me, girl,
just as soon as you can."

-- Ian
