Can somebody give me some advice please.
The motor on my Michell Gyro is making a very faint "rapid ticking" when running. It is not anywhere near as audible when you take the belt off the pulley. I read that if you take the pulley wheel off the top ( using the tiny hex head bolt ) and put a drop of the bearing oil down the spindle that should fix it but I don't want to go putting oil anywhere until I know whats what.
I bought the turntable from a very reputable ( and rich ) guy who had bought it on a whim, then never used it. It sat unused for a year. I cleaned and oiled the bearing sump when I got it but never touched the motor.
