These DACs are very well known and some regard them as amongst the best available. For sale my Metrum Musette DAC. In excellent condition bought earlier in the year from a PF member and now surplus due to other upgrades and changes in system. PLenty of info, spec and images on the net.
A very very good DAC indeed. Upgraded to DAC2. Very easy listening with detail.
Metrum DACs are no-oversampling, r2r DACs using their own 'Transient' DAC modules. See https://6moons.com/audioreviews2/metrum2/1.html
The DAC2 doubles the number of resistor ladders and enables it to process 24-bit data natively. The DAC2 is very much more detailed but just as natural as the DAC1, which is warmer and thicker sounding. This might suit some systems though; supplied with original modules if you want to experiment.
A note re Metrum Acosutics DAC 2 modules. Each module includes two of the DAC 1 modules and a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) chip; this combination vastly increases the capability of the standard Musette; elevating it to Menuet territory (which retailed for £1500 more).
I also have an audio quest coffee 0.75 USB cable £170 which I am not actively promoting yet until the Musette sells, but is available.
Please PM any interest or q's.
Looking for £550.
