I have the chance to buy the anthem processor at a good price but should I wait for a few weeks and get the meridian 861 v4?
I have Kef reference 3.2 fronts kef 200 centre and tdm 34 rears. I Love the sound of my kefs and have owned them forever they are driven by a parasound 2250 amp.The music source is a meridian 598 with external dac.Advice or opinions please

Thanks

Phil

the meridian is 3 times the price of the anthem

Never compared them, but they've both well thought of.
One point is that the AVP2 has no upgrade path.
Whilst you can't really upgrade the 861v4 core elements, with the 861 you do have the option of:
1. Changing the cards, eg. to add balanced outputs
2. There was a recent firmware upgrade to include "apodizing", which is supposedly worth having
3. If you have even more dosh, you can add on a HD621, thus enabling the playback of HD-Audio from BluRay

I have to agree both are good products, and i'd also have a listen to Arcam and Denons flagship products if your in that league,as both offer excellent viable alternatives.
