We have for sale a Melco N100 Music Library
This is silver, supplied in original packaging (double boxed) with power supply, USB cable, ethernet cable and quick start guide
One owner from new, this was installed by me around 18 months ago.
Perfect working order and excellent condition, there is a tiny small mark right in the centre of the lid, nothing more than pin prick, otherwise unmarked.
Supplied with a 12 month RTB warranty on both the machine and the HDD.
The N100 has a 2TB HDD for storage
This N100 is running 4.04b firmware meaning it can operate as a Roon Endpoint when connected to a USB DAC, it does not run Roon Core.
If not using Roon the N100 can be connected a USB DAC and controlled by an iPad/tablet or smartphone. It can be controlled by Melco’s own app (iPad only) and there are plenty of excellent third party apps from Linn, Lumin, Bubble, Music Cast, M-Connect – you can stream Tidal or Qobuz via any of these apps as well. If using the Melco app you can also play Internet Radio.
If you using a Linn or Naim Network Player like an NDX2 for example you can use the N100 via its Player port as a music storage for your library, offering a distinct upgrade any IT based NAS drive like a QNAP or Synology.
In terms of connectivity the N100 has 2 rear USB ports, one for a DAC, the other can be used with a USB optical drive (like a D100) for CD ripping or it can be used to import from a USB drive, or to back up to USB HDD, there is also a USB socket on the front of the N100 as well for added convenience.
There are also 2 ethernet sockets on the rear panel, the LAN port is for connecting the N100 to your network/router, the Player Port is only of relevance if you are using it work a Network Player as mentioned above.
This comes with the starter version of Minimserver (2.0.16) and SongKong Lite (7.0) installed as well. If you want the full versions of either programme you can subscribe directly – I can provide URL’s to do so.
