Marantz Hd-dac1 vs naim dacv1

Need a volume controlled dac at some point

Wondering if any folks upgraded to the naim dac v1 from their marantz dac ?

I see posts about the logo fading or display fading on naim dacs , is that something that has happened to fishies

One thing I would say is that the naim DAC V1 has an excellent headphone amp. Don't know anything about the Marantz.

All Uniti's and V1 have Oled display, these will fade over time, need to be set for automatic (xx seconds) switch off.

I did just that. The Marantz was the better allrounder I felt, whilst the V1 excelled with Rock and Dance etc. The Naim also had a better headphone stage. Both very well built and finished.

thanks guys , the marantz is around 500 new and does look a bargain really
